Community Based Learning
Learning Beyond the Classroom
Our Community Based Learning programme provides personalised education for children and young people who may struggle to engage within traditional learning environments.
Learning takes place in real-world settings where young people can develop practical skills, build confidence and apply what they learn in meaningful everyday situations. Each programme is tailored around the individual's needs, interests, abilities and aspirations, creating positive learning experiences at a pace that works for them.
Our approach focuses not only on educational progress, but also on developing independence, resilience, communication and the practical skills young people need to participate successfully in everyday life.

Personalised Learning Plans
Every programme is tailored to the individual and delivered through a personalised learning plan. We work collaboratively with schools, commissioners, social workers, families and other professionals to ensure learning objectives align with wider educational, EHCP and care planning goals.
Recognising and Celebrating Achievement
To ensure learning is recognised and celebrated, we link activities to the AQA Unit Award Scheme, allowing young people to achieve nationally recognised accreditation as they progress.
This provides evidence of achievement, helps build self-esteem and creates a positive learning pathway for children who may previously have struggled within formal education settings.

Building Confidence for the Future
For many young people, Community Based Learning provides an important stepping stone back into education. By reducing pressure, building confidence and creating positive experiences of learning, we help young people rediscover success and develop the skills needed to engage with future educational opportunities.
Our goal is not only to support educational progress but to equip young people with the practical skills, resilience and confidence they need to participate successfully in everyday life. Through meaningful experiences, supportive relationships and personalised learning opportunities, we help young people develop the foundations for a more independent and positive future.
