A Comfortable, Homely Environment

The home has been thoughtfully set up to create a comfortable and homely environment where children can feel safe and secure. Each child has their own bedroom, which they are encouraged to personalise, alongside access to welcoming communal spaces and a secure garden. The small size of the home allows us to provide consistent, relationship-based care and ensures that children receive the individual attention they deserve.

Specialist Support

Mawson House specialises in supporting children with learning disabilities and may also support children with autism, ADHD, sensory processing needs, speech and language difficulties, and behaviours that may challenge. Our experienced staff team is committed to delivering compassionate, person-centred care that respects each child's communication style, routines, preferences and individual goals.

Supporting Progress and Independence

We believe children achieve the best outcomes when they feel valued, listened to and understood. Our staff provide high levels of support while also encouraging children to build resilience, develop life skills and increase their independence at a pace that is right for them. Whether supporting a child to engage in education, develop friendships, enjoy community activities or simply achieve everyday goals, we celebrate every success.

Relationships at the Heart of Care

At Mawson House, relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to creating a positive environment where children feel a sense of belonging, are encouraged to make choices about their lives, and are supported to reach their full potential. Through consistency, compassion and specialist support, we help children build the foundations for a brighter future.
